Help
with $$$$$$!
Our campaign
needs money.
There's no
shortage of issues to take on in this election. There's
no shortage of people who are keen to help create a dynamic
election campaign. But there is a shortage of... cash.
Can
you contribute?
We'll take
coins, shekels, pesos, Toronto Dollars, even Canadian
Tire bills.
We need cash
to to print posters, leaflets and signs and to buy ads
in community newspapers. We need to hire staff to help
organize the campaign. And we need to pay for phones,
an office, and postage.
Your financial
contribution is vital to our success in managing a comprehensive,
far-reaching campaign.
Mel Lastman
spent over $1 million in the last election. We're visualizing
spending $100 grand in this election campaign. Please
contribute what you can, as soon as you can.
The
good news is that the City has an elections Rebate
program.
Here's how
it works. Contributions to our campaign of between $50
and $300 will receive a cheque from the city clerk for
75% of the amount.
For example,
if you were to write us a cheque for $300, you'll receive
a cheque from the city for $225. (Meaning it only costs
you $75).
Donations from
$301 - $1000 will receive a rebate of $225 plus 50% of
the difference between the amount of the contribution
and $300.
Here's
the step by step process:
